In response to the global Covid-19 pandemic, the Stay Home Film Festival was born. Our intention was to create an online film festival that brought together filmmakers and film enthusiasts from around the world during the height of Covid isolation. Filmmakers submitted films 60 seconds in duration or less in response to lock-downs and other effects of the pandemic. The festival was broadcast live on Youtube on July 12th, 2020.
Following the success of the online event, the Stay Home Film Festival hosted an in-person event at Whiteline in Bangkok on July 31st, 2020. The event was hosted by Cat Costa, the co-founder of the Stay Home Film Festival. Along with the film screenings, the evening was complimented by DJ music and drinks.
Our hope is that at a time when the world was grappling with the challenges of the pandemic, The Stay Home Film Festival provided a much-needed platform for creative expression and connection with both the online and in-person events showcasing the resilience and adaptability of the filmmaking community
The Stay Home Film Festival was made possible through the generous support of its sponsors, including Beer Sivilai, Mahanakhon Brewery, Soulful Healing Journey, Brand Connect, Yummy House, The Serial Pickler, Pavement, Pronto Denim, PJ Beauty and Brow, Raminthra Furniture, The Smokin' Pug, Russian Standard, and VIVIN Grocery.
